I made a minor goof. We are indeed meeting at the Rosslyn metro station(blue/orange line). Thanks Deb, for pointing out the error.

Tyrone - I did what I'm guessing is a similar ride (the VA side) on a cyclocross bike. It's not terrible though I tell people my bike makes me work harder so they don't hate me when I fall behind:-D. Just make sure your bike is in good repair and you should be fine!

Hey Joe - More information about Peets' sponsorship can be read in this month's newsletter. James - Just remember there is a 25 mph speed limit along many stretches of McCarthur Boulevard. The VeloDCity 'budget' does not cover speeding tickets. Mickey - Will try, keep an eye on the calendar. Finally, the meeting location will be at the Reston Metro Station(elevator area/across the street).

Also the route has been reposted with new elevation information. The real 'fun' begins around mile 12. http://www.gmap-pedometer.c...

Tyrone - The average pace should read as medium(14 - 15 mph). If you can handle the climbs/rollers, you should not have any problems with your hybrid. Just be prepared.

I just noticed that the pace is 'fast, middle'. Does that mean I shouldn't try this ride with a hybrid bike?

Chrissy, what's your head size? I've got a couple of spares that have really never been used.

    •  Another great ride, thank you Gregg!!!
    •  Greg Terrific riding with you. You are the most caring leader I have ever ridden with. We all were aware that you were helping someone, but the long waits got on people's nerves. Unless there is a serious incident, I would suggest instructing someone what to do and get on with it. they have to know how to deal with situations. Bernie
    •  Nice day, nice ride. Gregg, thanks for setting this up.
    •  Great ride Good group of people, on a very nice day.
    •  I always enjoy Gregg's rides and this was a good group of riders.

    •  Nice Day, Great Ride, Cool Folks
    •  A nice group of people who like to ride and meet other folks. I was very impressed by Greg's commitment to leave no rider behind. I will definitely come join the group again. Thanks for letting me join in.
