Rho - The weather forecast as of this moment calls for early morning rain. So with this being a rain or shine event, be prepared and bring the rain gear! Romel - Good to hear from you! The meeting place will be the steps of the National Archives on Constitution Ave NW between 7th & 9th Street NW. Like Chris, I will be a ride marshall for the event so I'll be around for the group picture and may see you on route.

Chris - As usual many thanks for the heads up about the need for volunteers. I just received the email notice this morning and volunteered as well. Are there any other folks interested in being a bike marshall?

I got an email from BikeDC on Saturday. They are still looking for bike marshals. Need to have some basic bike mechanical ability (plus helment, pump, cell phone) - contact: [masked]. I've volunteered, but don't know if they are taking me.

I'm in for the 25 mile, and will be riding my commuter - not a fast ride anyway.

    •  Let's start with the obvious: It was cold and wet. Excuse me, let me rephrase that; it was very cold, very wet and windy. The riding conditions really reminded me of some of the past editions of the Seagull Century Ride. Despite the weather conditions, it was a fun event. The support was was top notch however a cup of hot something would have made it perfect. It should also be noted that crowds were much lighter because the weather however this made the riding the roadways more pleasant because riders had more road to themselves. Special thanks to everyone who attended despite the weather and I'm sorry if I didn't see you good folks who braved the conditions. Till the next time.
