Congratulations on a successful ride for everyone who attended. I'm sorry that I wasn't present to personally congratulate everyone but I'm elated to hear the success stories! Good going Alberto, I mean Don!

Ended up doing the entire century, which after a century ride the day before made for some really sore, tired legs. Nice scenic ride, more rollers on the southern section then I remember and upper section had a good 10+ miles of constant uphill rollers.

I'll be driving out from Arlington at around 6:00 and can take 2 or 3 more people with me. Plenty of room for bikes in my truck. I will be doing the metric (planned on the 100-miler, but have talked myself out of it). Let me know if you would like to ride out together and/or meet there and ride the 63 miles together!

Thanks for the notice Brenda, I would only add that the on-site fee is $45 and is payable in cash only. Look forward to seeing everyone!

Sounds great, but appears to conflict with the Adirondack 540.

I am doing the Metric. Live in Reston and would be willing to car pool. Would be interested in riding with someone, too. My time for the Reston Metric was 17 mph, but I think PPTC will be more hilly. Karl [masked]

    •  Did the Quarter Century (avg. 11.2 mph). First long distance ride in a year and had great time. Great ride! Got a few pics of me standing next to an ostrich (at least I think it was an ostrich) :-) Will definitely do this ride next year.
    •  I became a member of this Meetup Group. I wrote and said I was going to the event. I asked if anyone wanted to carpool. Not even the organizer responded welcoming me to the group.
    •  The weather was great, the course was marked perfect and the food was yummy in my tummy
    •  Great Scenery, Great Rest Stops, Great Cycling, Don't miss this ride next year.
    •  Gorgeous weather, great route .. had a blast! Next time it would have been nice to have an established meeting spot.
    •  I punched away at the many hills on the Southern 50 mile loop and ended up at 17.8mph, 0.2 slower than last week's Civil War, which is allegedly hillier. Lack of familiarity with the circuit might have contributed, as this was my first time for the PP ride. A good training ride. Nothing remotely resembling a race. Met Matt and Andy from VeloDCity, no-one else showed themselves.
    •  This my first attempt for a Century and I was successful. I feel that this is a great Century for a novice.
