Meet at Tuscany Park at 6pm for a beginners road biking clinic. This is open to all skill levels, for those of you more experienced riders that just want a traffic free place to crank out a few miles after work. The park has a 3/4 of a mile loop that is mostly free of traffic (only used by people coming into the park). There are also street lights for those who want to continue riding past dark. Please RSVP for this ride so I know who is coming. This is a great chance to pick my mind on any questions you may have about cycling or if you need a small repair on your bike too. Riders are welcome to come early too. MUST WEAR HELMETS!

Hey Cyclists, I keep forgeting to post....sorry!! Let's attempt another easy ride for this Saturday. I'll try to keep going for a couple more weeks until it gets too cold. Hopefully some nice rides for a couple more months. If anyone is interested, after the bike ride, a couple of us are going to the NSPCA Family, Fur & Fun Festival. Festival Info]FESTIVAL LINK It's right across Charleston at Summerlin Centre Community Park. So if you want to join us, bring comfy shorts to go over the bike shorts and comfy shoes. So if you're a BEGINNER (or can push yourself a bit more). and haven't met us, it's a great opportunity to meet similar level cyclists. I do these level of rides now, due to health reasons. If you want more and it works with my schedule, I will continue posting. Difficulty status: This is a BEGINNER to a bit more. Very little hills, if any. Distance is approximately 15-20 miles. Our speed averages 12 MPH. This will be on regular roads, with very limited or no bike paths, but, with light traffic. ROAD RULES MUST BE ADHERED TO! Anyone with road bikes or hybrids will do just fine, but those with mountain will have to pedal a little harder. As always....NO ONE gets left behind. We stay with the slowest person....probably me for now. I've allowed "Maybe" RSVPs, but remember to confirm and update the day before the event. It's going to be a beautiful day, it's cooling down a bit....so let's ride!! See LINK OF ROUTE: Map My Ride

Alta is one big hill. We will start at Dunkin Donuts turn right out of the plaza and hit Alta about one mile down. At first it will be all downhill, we could take it down to the Suncoast or further then turn around and head back up Alta which is one big uphill. This is a good training ride. It is not too intense just intense enough to stimulate the heart and lungs to work hard. If we still have energy, we could ride a bit further on flatter ground. Please don't forget the helmet and the water. I will be parked in the large parking lot close to the gas station in a white Toyota Avalon with plates that read "No2Meat." Please be on time. You can call me at 334-4988 if you are running late. Kellie

Come out to Tuscany Park for some training, without the crazy traffic. It will be exactly the same as the other beginner rides here, a 3/4 mile loop around the park, at any pace you would like to go. This is great for beginners because there are no worries about being dropped. All riders must have a helmet To get there, travel east on Lake Mead (on the way towards Lake Las Vegas) and turn left on Olsen. Take Olsen north to the end and you will see the park on the left. Parking is in the middle.

Hey Cyclists, I am attempting another ride for this Saturday since the temperature is great. I'm calling this my exploratory ride....in other words, let's explore the route. Have done most of it, but expanding on it. We hope to have some nice rides for a couple more months. So if you're a BEGINNER (or can push yourself a bit more). and haven't met us, it's a great opportunity to meet similar level cyclists. I'm only doing beginner level of rides now, due to health reasons. Difficulty status: This is a BEGINNER to a bit more. A few hills! Distance is more or less 18 miles, depending on our cyclists. Our speed averages 12 MPH. This will be on regular roads with light traffic, bike paths, sidewalks. See LINK OF ROUTE: Ridedog Route - Beginner Ride

Meet me at Pecos Park for an early ride to start the weekend. The route will have bike lanes throughout as we make a loop through Green Valley. The loop is 7 miles and we will do multiple laps. This is a great ride for those who don't have a whole lotta miles in their legs because you can do as many 7 miles laps as you want. So meet me at Pecos Park, in the parking lot at 630am. The park is next door to St Tomas Moore church (cant miss it). Beginners welcome! We wont be leaving anyone behind and as long as you can make the first 7 miles you will be fine. Helmets are a must! We will leave at 630 sharp, so please get there alittle early
