This will be my first ride in almost 7 weeks because of my stupid ankle injury so I will be taking up the rear at a slow pace,...anyone want to join me? Our CLASSIC Sunday morning ride begins a leisurally paced start at 7:30am with everybody slightly angry at the organizor for being late as usual. Promise of smooth sailing begins on Teneya at a 12 mile an hour pace then a gentle rise begins and tests those legs going up towards frontage. 6 miles in finds us at 95 and the Mount Charleston turn off. Beginers decide Starbucks sound good at this point and turn around for a healthy 12 mile round trip and a hot beverage as a reward. The rest of us form a paceline on 95 taking one minute turns into the usual headwind until we reach that spot which marks our sprint for bragging rights at Piaute overpass. Then Woo Hoo! down FAAASssst down to the golf coarse. What goes down must come up and we huff our way back up the way we came,..a little break and then a very fast pace to Frontage and on to Southwest Bikes where Starbucks welcomes us with seductive hot breath of coffee aromas, 24 miles for us today! Some hearty souls went on to Lee Canyon Turnoff turning this ride into a 44 miler.

A couple of us (the ones that have been doing beginner rides for years and years....) are getting together again for a simple middle of the week social ride. This is for Beginner cyclists that would like to try out some distance, but stay on flat roads, or cyclists just starting or getting back onto the bike....like me. We'll try to stay on bike paths or safe/quiet roads, because your safety will always be considered. The slowest rider controls the pace! Average speed is about 12 MPH. Slow but steady. :D] PS.... IT'S GETTING COLD, SO WEAR APPROPRIATE CLOTHES. Check out the ride I plotted online: http://www.mapmyride .com/ride/united-sta tes/nv/north-las-veg as/331796886252 Difficulty explanations: Look in the "About Us" section. I will be doing MAYBE's, but unless you updateto YES or NO, we won't wait for you. So, remember to update your RSVP the night before!! So come meet your neighbor cyclists in the North/Northwest side of town! You never know if they are only a block away. Hope to see you out there!!!

Meet me in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot. I'll be parked near the gas station. Mileage is approximately 15 miles. I would call this a beginners ride with hills. Less then 3 RSVP's will cancel. Please check your email for cancellation before leaving. I will post at 9 am. The weather should be perfect for a bike ride. Don't forget helmet and water.

I will be cycling around the Green Valley area at 8am on Saturday. Meet me at the Starbucks on Paseo Verde and Valley Verde; I'll be the guy in the cycling gear! This isn't a regularly organized ride, just inviting some company to join me on a medium level paced ride. RSVP please. Must bring road bikes (unless youre super strong on the mountain bike), helmets and water. Contact me if you have any questions.

Come on out for a beginners cycling clinic at Tuscany Park at noon. If you have Friday off, don't miss one of the last beginners rides before the weather turns real cold for the winter. Please RSVP and email me any questions you may want me to go over at the meet up. If you are not a beginner, this is still a great place to crank out some quick miles without having to stop for traffic lights or test out new equipment, so come on out as well. I know noon on a Friday is not ideal for most, but it's when Im available. I will have my tools with me if you want me to look over your bikes as well. So come on out! Contact me for any questions.

Hey all, Am helping the local American Diabetes Association lead a Beginner ride. The training ride that I am doing this Saturday is part of a long ride that Lisa (one of our other Asst Org) is leading which is about 35 miles from Land Rover Las Vegas. The short ride I am leading is also from Land Rover, but will only be 5 to 7 miles in the neighborhood near Land Rover. The short ride leaves at 9:30 AM and the long ride leaves at 8 AM. Everyone comes back to Land Rover where they will be BBQing a free lunch. This is not an RSVP ride, just mainly for your information, but you can if you want. We're hoping any of you members can join us not just for this training event, but for the main event on April 10, 2010. Tour de Cure 2010

Hey Cyclists, Ok guys, am going to try out a whole new route and area that I have only ridden on a limited basis. I am organizing a ride in this location for those living in the NORTH EAST of Las Vegas. NOTE: IF I HAVE LESS THAN 4 CYCLISTS FOR THIS BY FRIDAY, I WILL CHANGE LOCATION TO ALIANTE. So if you're a BEGINNER (or can push yourself a bit more). and haven't met us, it's a great opportunity to meet similar level cyclists. If you want more beginner level rides and it works with my schedule, I will continue posting. Hopefully some nice rides for a couple more months. Difficulty status: This is a BEGINNER to a bit more. Intermediates may be bored. Don't like hills, so plan to avoid them. Distance is more or less 18 miles. Our speed averages 12 MPH. This will be on regular roads, with very limited or no bike paths, but, with light traffic. ROAD RULES MUST BE ADHERED TO! Anyone with road bikes or hybrids will do just fine, but those with mountain will have to pedal a little harder. As always....NO ONE gets left behind. We stay with the slowest person....probably me for now. NOTE: It's getting a little cooler, so bring a light jacket that you can take off without restricting your ride. I've allowed "Maybe" RSVPs, but remember to confirm and update the day before the event. It's going to be a beautiful day, it's cooling down a bit....so let's ride!! See LINK OF ROUTE: Same as before, but we start from Aliante. We might still get lost, but will wing it!!

Lets go cycling up at Red Rock on Friday morning. Meet at the Dunkin Donuts on Charleston, west of the 215 at 7am. We will head west to Blue Diamond and back. This is an intermediate level ride; almost 30 miles, with some big climbs and fast descents. The weather is going to be great so bring your bike, water and helmet (no exceptions) for the ride. For any questions, please email me
