I love to ride and am looking for more options. There is too much of my rubber on all the old routes.
I would love to put together a group of 4-6 of the same ability and inclination to work on paceline skills with the goal of efficiently completing a century together. This would require periodic assistance from a more experienced rider/racer willing and excited about helping the less experienced.
Hualapai & Charleston. 30-45 min. drive to an ride would be OK. 6-7 hour drive to a weekend event is OK too. Excercise if I'm in training. I love to socialize with people at my pace (which is not that fast). But I do like being worn out by the end of a ride.
Weekend rides are best. I do most of my own maintenance but some is beyond my ability/tool selection.
I've been on my bike since 1988. I've riden a century or two a year since my first Tour De Tucson in 1989. I ride to work 100 days out of the year (comfortable on streets). I will be doing the MS 150 again this coming November.
Advanced can mean many different things. I've been at it a while and I love to share with others so they can enjoy biking the way I do. But I'm not now nor have I ever been a racer. So I can't help you there.
