Introduction

The group was recommended by a friend. Need to learn about biking. I need to get out and about, spending too much time in the office and riding seems to be a great way to do it.

Can you share more details on your biking group goals; type of bike you have, and do you have all bike gear? Have all of you posted a picture and read the RSVP rules on the -ABOUT US- Link? Will you sign the Liability Form?

I ride a Specialized Espree, have most of the gear and have no problems with liability forms.

What major cross streets do you live near, any routes in town you'd like to share or try out with the group? How far are you willing to drive for a biking event? Are you here for exercise and/or socializing?

I live in the downtown area, central to the valley, so driving about anyplace is okay. Exercise is the main reason for biking, the social aspect is good.

What days of the week are best for you to bike? Do know bike maintenance or like to learn? Need guidance or help with bike and accessory purchase info?

The weekends are about the only days I can ride. Don't know bike maintenance, but would like to learn.

How long have you been biking, how often do you ride, your average distance, speed and how comfortable are you riding on the streets? Or do you prefer bike paths only? Have you done or are you interested to train partial or full Centuries?

New to road biking, I've tried to get out weekly but doen't always happen - work keeps on getting in the way. It seems that I've been riding about 20 - 30 miles at about 15 mph on the streets.
