Meeting Description

Who

People who are looking to bike at a brisk pace, do a few hills and work up a bit of a sweat. However, this ride is *not* a race. We ride as a group, so strong cyclists must be willing to ride only as fast as the slowest participants.

Details

Total distance: 25-50km
The route will be determined by the participants.

This ride is intended to provide a bit of a workout. It is not a leisure ride. Cyclists should be comfortable riding in traffic and crossing bridges. Expect hills and an average pace that should be in the 19-24kph range. However, the actual pace will be determined by the slowest participant since this is a "no-drop" ride (no one will get left behind). We will pause to regroup but there won't be any extended rest breaks. The entire route will be on pavement so road bikes are welcome.

BTW: despite the name, this is *not* how we will be cycling:) Like all VBMG rides, we will be cycling like this. And, like all VBMG rides, the ride is on regardless of the weather.

Meet in front of the main entrance to the Via Train Station. The ride *leaves* at 6:00pm (sharp) so you must be at the train station earlier than this.

You should probably bring lights for your bike in case the ride lasts into the twilight (white in front, red behind).
