Distance: 23km
Track: Mostly on bike tracks
Grade: Easy
Start: Meet at 10.30am for 10.45am start

Description: Start in Williamstown on the corner of Railway St and Battery Rd. The ride goes along the foreshore past the rifle range to Altona Beach and taking a rest at Altona pier. Then inland through Altona up to and around Cherry Lake and back to Williamstown for lunch. This is a very easy ride with no hills and there is plenty of varied scenery. Should be back in Williamstown between 12.30-1pm where we can get lunch from a cafe or bring your own to eat on the foreshore.

Optional Extra: Continue the ride after lunch.
Distance: 25km
Track: About half on bike tracks/half on roads
Grade: Easy

For anyone interested we can continue the ride after lunch up the Yarra and cross the river by "punt" (small ferry, costs about $3-4 each) to Port Melbourne and down to Albert Park Lake.

The punt goes from the Westgate Park underneath the Westgate Bridge. It runs continuously all day from 10am until 5pm, unless it's too windy, and the crossing takes about 5 minutes

Hi guys. I don't mean to plug any businesses, but considering Shaun's mishap with the tyres last time, I highly recommend if you need any accessories for your bikes to check out www.torpedo7.com.au. They have a great range of stuff, including instant patches which I found a much better than the cheaper ones with glue and peel patches. See you all soon!
