Mianus River Park Mountain Bike After Work (joint meetup)

Mianus River park has a tight network of both fire roads and singletrack. Good for novices and intermediate riders. The Mianus River runs along the east side of the property, so it is hard to get lost. Some climbs, short runs to bomb down, some tech sections. Overall a good workout trail with several interconnected loops. There are some log obstacles which you can find and try. Several carriage roads with singletrack offshoots. (courtesy of www.wmba.org)

We meetup with the Fairfield, Westchester and Beyond Mountain Biking Group at the Stamford entrance of Mianus River Park at 5:45 pm (at the Red Barn). We will hit the trail no later than 6:00. If you like to MB, it is worth joining their group also.

If you need VERY SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS, go to Google Maps and copy and paste the following:
41.0809 -73.5806 (Red Barn at Merribrook Road)

From I95 (North entering CT) Take Exit 7

Turn left at Light off Exit Ramp onto Greenwich Avenue

Follow Greenwich Avenue for 0.6 miles straight through 2 traffic lights, at the 3rd light make a left onto W. Broad Street (West Broad)

Follow W. Broad Street for 0.8 miles straight through 5 traffic lights, at the 6th light (golf course on your right) make a left onto Palmers Hill Road (FYI - at the 4th light W. Broad becomes Stillwater Road)

Take the very next right at light (maybe 0.10 of a mile) onto Westover Road

Follow Westover Road for almost 2 miles take a left onto Merriebrook Lane (look for sign with blinking yellow lights)

Parking at the Red Barn is just down Merriebrook on the right, or follow the road down a little further to park near the Bridge (just don't cross over the bridge).

From the Merritt Parkway Take Exit 34 Stamford - Long Ridge Road

Turn right at Light off Exit Ramp onto Long Ridge Road heading South

Follow Long Ridge Road for 1 mile - at light take right onto Roxbury Road and an IMMEDIATE left onto Stillwater Road

Follow Stillwater Road for 2 miles - at light near golf course (on your left) take a right onto Palmers Hill Road (tricky, the sign for Palmers Hill is on the left but you are taking a right)

Take the very next right at light (maybe 0.10 of a mile) onto Westover Road

Follow Westover Road for almost 2 miles take a left onto Merriebrook Lane (look for sign with blinking yellow lights)
