I started this group for the more leisurely paced rider who enjoys riding slower like I do, but who enjoys exploring in and around NYC for day-long adventures. A typical ride would start at 11am and include about 5 hours of riding plus a few hours of stopping to relax or eat, the riding would be at about an average comfortable 7-8 mph pace - this is in contrast to many other groups that expect a 12 mph minimum pace.
