And, if you just want to relax, kick back & do leisure rides SBMG is also a good place for you. This group is geared to beginner, intermediate & advanced bikers interested in cycling whether for fitness, competition, or recreation. The S …
I started this group for the more leisurely paced rider who enjoys riding slower like I do, but who enjoys exploring in and around NYC for day-long adventures. A typical ride would start at 11am and include about 5 hours of riding plus a few hours of stopping to relax or eat, the riding would be at about an average comfortable 7-8 mph pace - this is in contrast to many other groups that expect a 12 mph minimum pace. Let's just relax and enjoy it! A ride would include stopping to eat mid-way or …

Meet-up for recumbent bicycle riders in the New York City area who want to get together for rides, rallies, gear swaps, etc.
We are a volunteer-run club that organizes tent camping, cabin and hostel trips. We have been in existence in one form or another, nearly continuously, since the late 60s! On any given weekend, we may be hiking, kayaking, bicycling, skiing, campfire building, playing Scrabble, or just enjoying good food and conversation. Based in NYC and northern NJ, our destinations are usually within a three-hour drive of the Big Apple. We welcome singles, couples and families, experienced campers and newbies, …
UWS Cycle Mommaz is for moms who want to get out and bicycle responsibly during the day while the kids are at school/daycare! The best fit for this group are those who wish to meet other moms who like the idea of making their workout a ride around town. And yes, there is a latte stop before we have to head back to reality! The only requirements -- other than having kids -- is wearing a helmet and riding a bike in good working condition!

Bicycle rides, casual means it will be fun and accessible to all, only a minimal bicycle skill is needed, and a hybrid or commuter bike is OK for what we will do.
The purpose of this group is to share in leisurely paced biking adventures geared for beginners who are seeking to build up their endurance. Our group is diverse-appropriate for all ages and those seeking to improve their fitness levels. We will peddle through Queens Local Parks, Boardwalks, Long Island State Parks and even a remote Island or two off NYC while taking in the sites and enjoying a picnic lunch or two during the warmer seasonal months. Our routes are accessible to public transportat …
The purpose of this group is to get together and responsibly ride the streets of NYC and beyond! Riders with a sense of adventure and enjoyment out of getting around town on cycling wheels --with pit stops at fun snackeries -- are the best fit for this group. Helmets are mandatory. This is a free riding group from City Bike Coach.com.
This is a social cycling type meetup. The meetups could vary from Bronx River Parkway Bike Summer Sundays to just cycling around at a moderate pace while getting some exercise. We'll throw some trail biking in the mix depending on the mood. Ending a ride with a cup of coffee at some local coffee shop or a brunch would be nice too!

Do you ride every day? Do you go to Critical Mass? Are you looking to meet people like yourself and build something cool? Then join us. If you join and don't have any interest in meeting at least once a week, then don't even bother. We don't need you.
The Hudson Valley has an endless amount of fitness and social events to engage in. As an avid hiker and biker, I will schedule many day, evening and weekend events. We will stop to 'smell the roses' while still challenging ourselves physically to go to the next level. Beginner, intermediate and advanced hikers/bikers who want to advance their skills are encouraged to join the group. No one will be left behind. We'll also attend social events. I will also network with local businesses and fr …
We're not looking for numbers of group members, we're looking for numbers of riders! If you Love to ride, you're in the right place. We ride the entire Northeast at this point and we are expanding our range of trails. See "North East Trails" on the Group's Message Board. We are mainly an Intermediate to Intermediate plus All Mountain/XC group of riders. We do hold beginner rides, regularly, for those wanting to enter the world of Mountain Biking. Some of our riders also hit the Downhill Park eve …
I wanted to start a group incorporating the many great aspects of this lovely borough. With so much this 42 square miles this New York City borough has to offer, I felt it was only right to create a perfect group for it. Thre Bronx named after Jonas Bronck an immigrant to the Dutch colony of New Netherland is home to the New York Botanical Gardens, Fordham University, Bronx College, Riverdale and Van Cortlandt Park. In between your work and studying stop and enjoy her, she has a lot to offer

WHO WE ARE: While there are a couple of other veg groups in the area (much love to y'all), this group is intended for a more focused cadre of people: those vegans with an affinity for other subcultures. So, if you're just into the joys of veganism, herbal teas, bicycling, meditation, and empowering your soul with the expressions of various worldly cultures, good on you, but handshake: there's the cyber-door. However, if you can hold forth on why Venom was more fascinating than Carnage, I want yo …

10,000 steps or more: walking, and hiking our way to stronger bones, better weight control and general good health; day hikes, occasional day trips, historic site visits and walks. Hi! Thanks for checking us out. There are a lot of fun hiking groups in Westchester and Fairfield counties. However, I wanted to start a group that would get a beginner hiker like me outside, moving and meeting new people. The purpose of the group is to sponsor hiking and biking events that are easy but challenging …

Want to do some outdoor activities, but aren't ready for the longer or balls to the wall hiking groups? We hike at a moderate pace, enabling us to enjoy the scenery & take breaks. While we do hike at a slower pace then other groups, you should have a reasonable level of fitness. Please remember hiking does consist of inclines & declines. (Hiking is NOT like a walk in the park.) Our average distance is between 4 to 6 miles - occasionally there may be a few longer hikes. ***SOME HIKES MAY GO AT …
