Women on Wheels - our mission is to empower women to travel by bicycle and other alternative transportation. And, oh yeah, feel the biking joy. We will have rides, workshops, and social events on biking. We're all inclusive. If you want to ride, we want you. It will be fun.
We are an enthusiastic group of bicycle riders just Out Spoke'n with a wide range of bikers with varied riding experience and abilities. We welcome all bicyclists - beginners to maniacs; from short haul, enjoy-the-scenery folks to get-me-up-that-hill-fast animals. C'mon in. You will find us welcoming and fun.

I wanted to start up a leisurely bike riding group, around 10-12 mph pace that starts in the mid-afternoon, for those who aren't early risers. Helments are opptional; I don't wear one. All rides will start and finish on Portland's eastside. This is not a gung-ho riding group like the Wheelmen. You can show up in jeans and a t-shirt and you will fit right in! I do not consider myself the 'leader' per se; just an organizer. Group input is welcome too; to suggest an area that you would like to ride …

This group is open to everyone, including people who are just learning how to ride a bike. A cyclist does not have to be registered for the charity ri …

Construction on the Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail bridge, Portland's first new Willamette River bridge in 35 years, is scheduled to begin in July. When finished, it will be the largest no-automobile urban crossing in the United States. Meet professional skills coach and pro racer Gene Hamilton and other local mountain bikers to discuss and learn mountain biking skills. Riding a bike is easy. Riding over off-camber roots and rocks and cornering with confidence is more difficult. Whether you have been riding for twenty years, race professionally or just started riding there is a lot to learn as the correct techniques are not intuitive. That is why Gene has created a better way to learn the core skills of mountain biking. For ov …

Welcome to our tribe! We are a range of riders from first treads to hammerheads, and from kids to those who will never grow up. We believe that all trails in life should flow, roots and boulders add character to the ride, every journey could be an epic one, and a little sweat on the ascent will blow off as the rubber takes flight from the dirt. Just follow the safety rules, be courteous, show up for rides you responded "yes" to, and have fun.
