This is the biking group for experienced riders who are less interested in speed and more interested in interesting routes and friendly people. We will do rides of 25 - 40 miles at a "C+" pace (approx 14 mph). Routes may be planned around scenic areas, interesting destinations, special events, or lunch stops at popular restaurants. Hiking Around Philly is different from most hiking groups because we hike (and sometimes bicycle) off the beaten path. We hike in the woods and the city. We go places that won't be found on any hiker's map. The events are usually within a 1.5 hour drive from Philly, though we sometimes visit NYC or the Jersey shore. Suburban Cyclists Unlimited is a group of active recreational cyclists who tour the roads and trails of Montgomery, Bucks and Chester Counties and the surrounding suburbs of Philadelphia. Weekend rides are offered throughout the year. Regular weeknight rides are offered from April through September.
