Besides skiing and snowboarding, our club participates in many other activities including, bicycling, cross country skiing, social events, barhops, golfing, and others. The Poplar Creek Trail is a 9.0-mile paved loop around Poplar Creek Forest Preserve near Hoffman Estates. The trail has a couple of hills but is otherwise level and makes for a pleasant journey through the wooded preserve. This is an informal group for those interested in meeting Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6:15am for an easy-paced bike ride around the 9.5 mile loop. I started this group as a way to connect people with outdoor and other activities. People interested in starting walking, running, bicycling, kayaking, snowshoeing groups or planning an excursion and looking for others who'd like to join in are encouraged to join and use this as a way to communicate what is being planned.
